MK-V AR + Omega Revolution rig...

THE MK-V AR HAS NOW BEEN UPGRADED TO THE OMEGA-REVOLUTION. MUCH HIGHER RESOLUTION AND FAR MORE RELIABLE THAN THE PREVIOUS SENSOR AND BRAIN TECHNOLOGY.

Below is my original MK-V AR Revolution Showreel invented by Howard Smith. The MK-V AR allows you to fly the camera completely level anywhere in space from the floor to 9ft in the air. The nature of holding a sled out parallel to the ground also means that the camera can now fly over tables, beds, children and any other suitable cine-furniture doing shots where normally only a techno-crane can go.

This is the second smoking commercial I operated for DoP Barry Ackroyd. The making-off this advert is in my main showreel above.

Below is my friend and amazing AR operator Chris McGuire’s piece that nicely demonstrates the camera head retaining level when boomed from the floor to great height as well as additional control of camera level to spin the camera relative to level-horizon. Chris McGuire is awesome and is based in LA and available anywhere in the world.

You want to check out Chris McGuire’s showreel pages yourself. He’s the best in the world but I do my best to copy him.

Below is a load of top-secret testing I did with my friends: Memo Akten, Barney Steele and Robin McNicholas.

My mate Ceri Stokes did the music for this scratch reel.

This is a very fiddly film we made with Pretzel films (Giles Ripley Dir.). Very confined spaces with a lot to go wrong.

And below is a little making-of

Below is my good friend and mentors new showreel. It’s awesome! It demonstrates some of the amazing and clean shots possible with the Revolution AR. Like I say, Chris McGuire is the best in the world on the MK-V AR but I’m busy learning everything I can off the man. He’s based in LA and available anywhere in the world.

I am looking for really special shots to add to my showreel. If you are shooting a short film and have a shot in mind that would add to your story and show-off the AR rig please get in touch. I will be asking you to fill in this form.

Benenden Bubbles

Directed by free thinking radical Cosmo Wallace this advert for Benenden challenged everyone. You see after the first few shots, which happened in glorious sunshine, the weather [...]
