Age UK Commercial

Here is a commercial we shot for Age UK. Directed by Becky Martin and DoP’ed by the infamous Captain Jamie Cairney and off course; Steadicam Operated by myself..

Using the Arri Alexa with a Gekko Ringlight and Panatape on an optimo zoom. All the people in the advert are non-actors and we suspected they would get tired after doing a whole day of this. They soldiered on and stayed till the bitter end. The strategy with these one-take wonders is always as a two day shoot. One day blocking and learning exactly what you want and the next day being able to control your crowds and doing repeated takes.

We built a ramp for the subtle crane up at the end which worked well. I just had to make sure I managed to get on it quickly before the mobility scooter display team ran me over (no joke).
